Interfaces with fire station radio system to protect against electrical/lightning strikes


Description
The First-In Radio Isolation Unit is used to protect the Master Control Unit from damage occurring from unforeseen electrical transients and lighting strikes. The Radio Isolation Unit sits between the Master Control Unit and the fire station radio. If the radio antenna receives a lighting strike, the Radio Isolation Unit filters damaging electrical surges, minimizing or preventing harm to the Master Control Unit.

Commonly located in radio, information technology or communications rooms.

** The Radio Isolation Unit can accept a single radio and up to four (4) radios.

  • Provides audio isolation between the radio and the Master Control Unit
  • Processes Call-Alert signaling
  • Processes push-to-talk and microphone audio, allowing radio to broadcast the pre-announcement
